Providing administrative professionals with the tools they need to succeed

The IAAP Toronto Chapter welcomes synergies with the business community. We encourage companies to partner with us, to assist Administrative Professionals in their day-to-day activities by providing them with relevant business contacts, information on new, cutting edge products and services, and to support the IAAP Toronto Chapter in its ongoing efforts to provide Administrative Professionals with opportunities for professional development and personal growth.    We offer several levels of support and invite organizations to:

1)    provide us with qualified educators to give one hour workshops at our monthly meetings
The Toronto Chapter meets on the first Monday of each month at the Unviersity Club.  We average between 50 and 75 attendees at each meeting.  Monthly meeting include a 1 hour workshop, providing our members with opporutnities to upgrade their professional knowledge and skills.

2)    assist with the costs of our monthly programming: 
    a)   
host the Vendors Table at our monthly meeting
    b)    advertise
in our newsletter and on our website 
    c)   
host a meeting – host would provide meeting space and dinner. Our members would have the opportunity to tour the facility, hear a presentation from the host, and find out more about the organization

3)   
assist with the costs of our yearly conferences: 
    a)   
by being a sponsor (we offer several levels of sponsorship)
    b)   
by hosting a vendors table
    c)   
advertise in our program 
    d)   
providing door prizes

4)    become a member of IAAP. By becoming Associate Members, organizations have the opportunity to come to our meetings, network with our members and attend our various events, including our yearly Canadian Conference and our yearly International Conference.

The Toronto Chapter has over 160 members and is one of 15 chapters in Ontario. Toronto Chapter members are Executive and Administrative Assistants at organizations across the GTA, who gain career skills and experience through participation in chapter activities -- everything from public speaking to project management, strategic planning to event planning. IAAP Toronto Chapter members are well prepared, well informed, front-line "ambassadors" for their employers and having knowledgeable professionals on staff reflects well on the image of any company. Members learn to work in partnership with their executives, becoming value-added team members who are able and willing to step up.
