Executive Producer of brand you! Catharine brings together her executive experience in marketing, technology, branding and web communities to help people market themselves smarter.

Catharine’s jumped into the world of marketing and technology in 1996 when she joined Quadravision and was responsible for launching ME!, the first web personalization software, into the North American banking industry which formed the basis for the first generation retail e-banking platforms. After Quadravision was acquired by BOWNE and became one of five companies forming Bowne Internet Solutions, Catharine headed to New York to take the position of Vice President, Marketing for BOWNE Internet Solutions, North America.

Catharine later joined Mediconsult, an online healthcare portal and associated Physicians network – Physicians’ Online and Mydoctor.com. As head of marketing at Mediconsult, Catharine was responsible for marketing and overseeing some of the world’s largest disease-based patient communities.

Catharine started her career in the marketing and advertising industry as Director of Marketing for Continental Cosmetics/Dermablend and later as advertising Account Executive for Brandworks Communications overseeing accounts including Loblaws, Atomic Skiis and The Globe and Mail.

After returning to Toronto to have her first child and consulting to blue chip companies on their Internet marketing and online strategy, Catharine was inspired to launch a company dedicated to creating tools to help people market themselves smarter. Market Yourself Smarter was launched in 2002 and has since launched a series of branded properties and tools supporting personal career development, brand management and learning including videoBIO, the must have career marketing tool for building your online profile, the annual Walk the Talk Best Practices Study and Awards and the Know Your Character self assessment tool.


Market Yourself Smarter’s latest career marketing tool is the insanely popular videoBIO™ product and professional networking platform.

Catharine is also Partner in SWING Think Inc., formed in 2005 and specializing in developing, marketing and producing online programs and branded properties for women.

Catharine has been volunteering for the United Way for 8 years and sits on the United Way’s Allocations and Agency Services Committee. As a mother of two girls, Catharine is a passionate advocate for women and an active speaker and media source on topics related to Marketing Yourself, Women in Business and Entrepreneurship.
